Maxwell noodles around in the NHPLF camp for a while, pointing at maps and getting into other's business.  In return, he receives a lot of odd looks, and then sits in the conference room until everyone arrives.

A door opens slowly, and Maxwell looks around.

At the back of the conference room, Summers enters with Judith Percy, the NHPLF Communications Representative for the Lawrenceburg branch, Gerald Curtis, the NHPLF Coordinator for Military and Police Movements, Lawrenceburg branch, a double agent in NHM, Heinrich Falk, the NHPLF Transportation Coordinator for Lawrenceburg and Greenhampton, and finally, Alphonse Simon, the NHPLF Executive Representative to Lawrenceburg.

They all begin setting up for some kind of presentation, and are setting up projectors and easels.

Summers looks up at Maxwell after putting down a bag and smiles.

Summers:"Long time, no see, eh, Max?"
Maxwell:"Yep."
Summers:"I can see that you had no trouble finding this place.  Did you have lunch yet?"

Maxwell suddenly realized that he didn't have lunch.

Maxwell:"Uh, no sir."
Summers:"Ah, what a shame, this is going to be a long meeting."

Meanwhile, a the surface...

Vasily enters the old, run-down, and ever-familiar coffee shop that is one of the few entrances to a NHPLF outpost in the sewers that connects with the main camp.  It was also chosen because the government hasn't put up any security cameras here.  He notices Anyo walking behind him about 20 yards, and a few cars parking in the parking structure nearby.

When they both arrive at the coffee shop, they are greeted by Franz Grubert, the owner of the Coffee Shop, a friend of NHPLF.

Franz:"Hello, welcome to Grubert's Grounds, what could I get for you, today?"
Vasily:"I would like today's special."
Anyo:"I would also like the same."
Franz:"Would that be all?"  *Grubert glares at them both.*
Anyo and Vasily:"Nothing more, but a cinnamon twist."

Franz nods, punches a few digits into the cash register, and it prints two receipts.  He hands them the receipts, then motions with his head to the back.  Anyo and Vasily go to the back of the store and see Nick with his ear to the safe in the back of the room, an unusually large safe for a coffee shop.  Nick turns around and sees Vasily and Anyo waiting patiently for him to unlock it.

Nick:"Hey, have you got the access code?  I seem to have forgotten it."
Vasily:"Yeah, move over."

Nick moves out of the way, and Vasily turns the knob on the safe twice left, once right, and left once more.  The safe opens, and inside of it is a stairway leading down to the sewers.  A stench immediately rises from the stairway, and Anyo covers her nose.

Anyo:"God damnit, I'll never get used to that smell."

They enter the safe, closing it behind them, and climb down the stairway.  They reach the bottom and are greeted by a guard sleeping away on a crate, loosely cradling his CX-44 Shotgun.  He is supposed to be guarding the door to the NHPLF camp.

What will they do?

Wake up the guard.

Also gear up.

Vasily smacks the guard across the face.

Vasily:"Hey, wake up!"
Guard:"OI Eh wot?  stuff, not again...  Uhhh...  Yes, do you have your receipts?"

They all show the guard their receipts.

Guard:"Great.  Everything appears to be in order." *Yawn* "Go right ahead."
Vasily:"Thanks.  Try to keep awake, hm?"
Guard:"Aye, sir."

The guard stands up, opens the door, and lets them through.  He closes the door behind them, and they approach the camp.  At the front stands two guards, one at the ground in front, and one in the tower, controlling the gate switch.  The wall is made of scrap wood and corrugated metal tiles, and the occasional makeshift window made of wire mesh.  There is a sign above the entrance that reads Lawrenceburg Outpost C.  They enter the camp.  Along the main path is a series of booths and makeshift workshops, at which guns are being polished or unpacked, a few crates moved around, or food or drinks are being sold.  Anyo, Vasily and Nick reach the end of the camp, where a lot of utility vehicles are sitting.

Nick:So which of these is our ride?
Anyo:"I don't know.  Maybe we should split up and look for it.  Vasily, look to the left, I'll look in the central, and-"
[Intercom]:"Tram 131 leaving for Lawrenceburg Central in five minutes."
Anyo:"Never mind..."

They look for Tram 131 and locate it.  Next to it, the driver stands holding a sign that reads "Lawrenceburg Central."

Vasily:"Perfect.  Hop in, everybody."

They get on the tram, as does the driver.  The driver turns on the vehicle and shifts into drive, and begins navigating through the tunnels.

Maxwell waits in the meeting room, and is offered a glass of cold water by an attendant.

Take the glass of water and stare into space, but keep focus on what is being said.

Maxwell takes the glass of water and takes a sip.  The meeting hasn't started yet, but you can hear the five others on the other side of the room commenting on the weather.  Apparently, there's a storm heading in from the east, nothing major.  It shouldn't affect you since you spend most of your time in the sewers.

A special note:  If you own a character, and would like to do any under-the-table action, PM me what you want them to do.  However, I will not always use your suggestion.

Introducing a new element.  You don't need to wait for approval on this, but you may address players directly, thus taking on more of a RP type adventure.  For instance, Steve wants to talk to Jim.

Steve (To Jim):"I got a new car today."

There is one exception and two rules attached.  The player you are addressing must either be an NPC or an active character.  The player must communicate to them using regular means- this means they can't shout miles away, but can call them.  If I post an update overriding your action, it will be nullified, but this will only take place if you say something completely unintelligent or if you metagame.

If you don't want to let others know, you can whisper to them by sending them a PM.  By whisper, this can be a whisper, hand signal, private phone call, etc.  So long as you post in the topic that you communicate to them, it is fine.  In the case of Steve and Jim:

Steve (To Jim)*Whispers*

Direct Address is not UTT (Under-The-Table). We at least need to know that you say or do something.

Vasily (To Anyo): "Psst, you single?"

Anyo (To Vasily) [Deadpan monotone] "I'm not into men with vaginas."

>Vasily:  Scoot as far away from Anyo as possible and ask the tram driver when the tram will arrive.

Vasily:"Hey uh, when will the tram arrive?"
Driver:"Almost there."

The tram rides over a makeshift bridge made out of wood boards and panels, crossing a river of sludge that is altogether nasty as hell itself.  Nick notices a tire floating in the vile river, and scoots more toward the center of the tram.  They look ahead into the dark tunnel.  A few areas are lit by dim light from sunlight coming through manhole covers overhead.  The tram reaches a dark end of the tunnel, where nothing but darkness lies ahead.  The driver picks up his CB Radio microphone and tunes to the Lawrenceburg Central Channel.

Driver:This is Tram 131, requesting permission for 11:50 arrival at Lawrenceburg Central from Lawrenceburg Outpost C, Code 3-4-1-2-8-8-9.
- pause -
Radio:*Static*  "This is Lawrenceburg Central.  Your request has been processed and approved."  *Static*

The driver puts the microphone back in its mount.  A few yellow lights flash straight ahead in parallel lines to the left and right, and grow closer.  Mechanical groaning can be heard in the distance.  The headlights then reveal an extending metal bridge coming to meet them.  The bridge stops, and the tram moves forward.  The tram reaches the end of the bridge, and stops.

Driver:"This is Tram 131.  We have reached the other side."
Radio:*Static*  "Thank you.  Bridge retracting."  *Static*

The driver switches off his radio and then continues down the path a short while before reaching a turn to the right.  As they round this corner, lights are seen in the distance.

Maxwell has run out of water, and is now bored after fiddling with his empty water cup for 15 minutes.  The Lawrenceburg Upper-Ring is idly chatting on the other side of the room.  When the topic is switched to cooking and meals, you begin to realize how hungry you are.  The meeting begins in 10 minutes.  There is bound to be a food stall in the camp somewhere.  Go out and try to grab something, or wait through the meeting?

Wait it out.
Maxwell decides to wait, and looks at the clock.  It's 11:51.

He gets up to throw his trash away when Miles and Alexandre enter the room.

What will Maxwell do?

Vasily, Anyo and Nick arrive at Lawrenceburg Central.  The camp is significantly larger and better than Outpost C.  Walls are made of sheet metal and concrete road dividers.  The tram comes to a halt.  The driver exits along with the three, and puts a sign on his tram reading "Out at lunch.  Back in 20." and walks toward the general café.  It is 11:53?  Go to the meeting or do something in the mean time?

>Vasily: Go get something to eat for lunch.
