Definitely, seeing as it has a 1.3GHz quad-core and a 30% larger display (720p, too). The only thing you're losing is iOS, but Android is pretty easy to get used to.

And how is Cyanogenmod? I've always been under the impression that it just has a ton of extra features I won't utilize that makes it bloated. I've always gone for the slim, clean ROMs.

I don't find it to be overbloated in any way, my device seems to actually run smoother with it.

you can get it up to CM 7.2 which is pretty damn good for that phone
