Author Topic: It's 11/12/13! (Unless you live where things make sense)  (Read 2536 times)

So yeah.
The date is in ascending order.

Unless you live in Europe or any other place that's not the US or Canada*, where people use systems that are logical, in which case it's 12-11-13.

*Also the Philippines, but they have worse problems right now. And Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, and Belize.

Actually, try a month minus one day.

I dont know, I find the US system logical in its own way.

The numbers go from lowest possible max, to highest possible max.
Month is the smallest number, day being the second, and year being the biggest number.

Now, if you put it into a pyramid format, then yeah, the US way looks forgeted up.

When someone asks you what day it is, do you say "November 12th" or "12th of November?"

Because I say it's Tuesday.

I would usually say "November 12th," because I assume they know the day of the week.

saying the date sounds cooler + if you're talking about a future date it's a lot easier than explaining what you mean by "next monday"

But it's November, not December

november (11) the twelfth (12) 2013 (13)
