Author Topic: Braces loving suck ass. (Rant)  (Read 5500 times)

I've had braces for about a year and 7 months. They loving suck ass.

My orthodontist repairs your first 3 broken brackets but after those 3 you have to pay 25$ just for 1 bracket to be fixed. The thing is the brackets come off of my teeth without me even doing anything. It's as if they were tightening my braces too much to the point where it would rip off my back brackets.

So last night I was talking with my father and my best friend and while I was talking I heard a popping noise go off. I didn't know what it was until I felt something small and metal on my tongue. I wasn't eating hard foods, I wasn't drinking corrosive juices from fruits, And I brush 2-3 times a day. So now I have to pay 25$ all because a bracket on my tooth came off.

I have to wear my braces for about another year, Roughly. My sister is excited to get braces even though her teeth are fine. I can't wait to see her complain about braces with the stupid lisp you get when you first get braces. You'll eventually get use to having braces and your lisp will go away but it sure is loving embarrassing at first because it makes you sound like a moron.

When you have braces, Food will get stuck in every single part of your mouth. Normal tooth brushes can't get that stuff out because of the wires and brackets so you have to use a water pick to get it cleaned out. (A water pick is a tool that fires pressurized streams of water.) I can't use normal floss because of my wires.

When you get a sharp piece of wire poking your cheeks in your mouth, You will cry your ass off from the pain. If you don't know what it feel like then heres a demonstration; Take a needle and stab the inside of your mouth about 50 times. I have to take wax and put wax over the sharp pieces so that my cheeks don't get torn the forget up and have scars.

I can't loving wait to get this torture device out of my mouth. The only good thing about having braces it you'll go from having the worlds most forgeted up horse teeth to having perfect teeth.

I don't know why they cant invest money in making a better more efficient way to straighten teeth instead of loving braces

yeah i know a guy who had to get braces but didn't, and now he looks like a down syndrome vampire. and the sad news is, i need them too.

don't exactly know when though.

Why not get a retainer or invisiline or something like that?

There is an alternative but it moves your teeth about 4x slower. They're called invisalign and they're pretty much just plastic trays that you put over your teeth. You can take them off anytime to do whatever and they're transparent so you don't look stupid with all these metal bits and bobs in your mouth.

Apparently they said my teeth were too complicated to use invisalign.

now I have an image of this in my head

They have, it's called false teeth

supposedly I'm gonna have to get braces. I think my teeth look fine now but I guess that isn't representative of the future

isn't that what invisalign is?

ofc. why would the guy you're gonna pay to give you braces suggest an alternative?

Invisalign is an option, but it isn't cheap. It also doesn't work if you have a crooked bite or need teeth to move across gaps.
A good tip to getting done with braces quickly is to thoroughly listening to your orthodontist. If you aren't already, you'd have a bad time.

As for myself, I've moved on to retainers, and it's satisfying to bite into an apple after 3 years of waiting.

Its completely free over here and I had no problems at all. Maybe your healthcare sucks ass (because you pay for it)

I only had braces on the top left side of my mouth for a couple months.

It still sucked ass.

I know how you feel

I was supposed to get mine off in April

It's been 31 months

i don't need to pay for my braces or health care in general.

im supposed to get mine off in march(ish), ive had them for 34 months so 4 more isnt that bad

i would say that was the dumbest thing ive ever heard but ive heard stuff even worse than that

they're a nuisance, but i never got a lisp or really any talking oddities from first having them.
it's been about a year and a half and i'll probably be on a retainer by next summer.
