Rainbow Loom rant

Remember that old fad, silly bandz? That was a pretty good fad, actually. But, the same company has created a worse fad: Rainbow Loom.
Rainbow Loom is a cheap sheet of plastic, some rubber bands, and a plastic special pen. That's all it is, and yet it reaches prices like $10 or maybe even higher. You'll be lucky to get one for under $10.
Doesn't seem so bad yet? Well, it's a TERRIBLE virus in my school. TONS of people have them now, even boys, when it was originally a product for girls. It's kinda strange to see boys wearing rainbow bracelets.
And get this- It takes hours to make a bracelet. And, you can make one of those bracelets without the rainbow loom. (apparently a few amount of people understand this)
It's also annoying to see girls making these bracelets in school and then being all surprised at how they failed a test or something. And sometimes you even see these in desks. Seriously? The fad is that addictive?
Silly Bandz was actually an acceptable fad to me, but this is.. weird.
