Author Topic: My Cat Has Been Put Down  (Read 2912 times)

A bit off topic, but there have been a lot of topics about cats dying, going missing, or having to be put down lately. :/

Anyway, I have not had the experience of losing a companion like that, but I also haven't had the joy of having one either. It's got be tough. Heck, I was crying Niagra Falls when we had to get rid of my Guinea pig after having him for just one week (my mom and I had some major allergy issues with him). Well, I hope you feel better, I'm sorry. :/

Make a furry funeral :(

make a bonfire and sacrifice a bit of fur to the cat gods, after which sacrifice one whole bird. this should appease the gods and your cat will have an excellent afterlife.

also grab a tuft of fur from it as a reminder, get a bunch of photos, maybe a long video of your cat while it was alive, trust me it'll cheer you up, we didn't do this so we only have like 3 photos.

He's so adorable! He looks exactly like my cat Whiskers (11 years old)

I'm sorry for your loss, R.I.P. Tom :(

I've had a cat as a kid (that looked really similar to yours), but somewhere in my childhood he was roadkilled. The garbage men found his body and put it in the trash to rot away. ;-;

I later had another cat later but he had completely vanished. I know your pain too well.

I can understand how you feel, seems like an amazing cat :c
My condolences

starzy i love you im gonna do this now with my cat, shes getting old but still has maybe 5 years left

Damn, that loving sucks

I had 2 dogs in my house when i was younger, the other one died when i was 5 and i didn't know, the other when i was 7-8 and i saw him dead in our backyard.

Needless to say, pet death sucks, especially when you absolutely don't want them to die

Best Wishes, OP

Well, today we took him to the vet. They cleaned him up and put an I.V in his leg. He laid in the room and calmly accepted the euthanasia. For a moment he was extremely calm and then he was gone. They took him to the back, cleaned him up even more, and gave him back in a small coffin. We took him home and buried him next to our house. I pretty much cried this entire time.

I'm ordering him a head stone for his little grave.

I'm really going to miss him.

Sorry to hear. :C

Pets that you have had that long really are close to you like family, how silly it may sound to others, but it is true.
Sounds like he really was ill, one of my cats had a similar thing.
I still have my other one, but she is super shy, but she is also quite old already so time is running out. :/
Once she is gone, things are gonna be really empty around here.
