The year is 1949. The United States and the Soviet Union, having defeated Japan during World War II and claiming back their stolen lands, have both agreed to occupy one half of the Korean Peninsula; the Soviets in the North and the Americans in the South. Of course, this was only the start of a long indirect battle between the two superpowers, and time for their Korean puppets to take the blows. The tensions between the US and USSR have continued to gather on this little peninsula, and they probably can't stand to get much higher without a fight. The communist Kim Il-Sung of North Korea and the anti-communist, though equally autocratic Syngman Rhee of South Korea both want to reunite Korea as a sovereign nation but under their own beliefs and principles. Only one can prevail.Will the Soviet Union and communism win this battle? Or will the United States and the free market spread to the entire peninsula? You will decide.
