Author Topic: Port Forwarding Help  (Read 1028 times)

And... here we go.

Yes, I just can't port forward.
I followed this tutorial:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/BT/Home_Hub_4/Blockland.htm
(yes my router is a BT Home Hub 4)
And it didn't work. It kept getting stuck on "Sending punch packet..."

If it helps, my port on Blockland is 28000.

Anyone know anything?

I'm gonna find a console.log of me attempting to join later.

Okay I posted this on another help topic, but I think it's worth repeating:
In Blockland, go to options, click the network tab, then at the bottom is a box called "Disable UPnP", make sure it is checked. If it is unchecked, then Blockland is using UPnP and not the ports you forwarded. So make sure that box is always checked.
After you do that, host your server and see if it is fixed.

Post a console log of your server.

UPnP is glitchy on this router, I'd rather use port forwarding.
I'd also like to port-forward other games using this method too.

Read my post more clearly, I am saying the Disable UPnP box should be checked if you want Blockland to use your forwarded ports.

Ah, sorry, midread.
I did that when I attempted it the first time.
I also had it disabled on my router too.

I have hit into another error.
Every time I attempt to bind the forwarded ports to my IP, this comes up:

While, as you can see, I don't have anything binded to anything;

Try rebooting your router by unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. They often have really bad firmware on them.
