Author Topic: What I realized about myself recently  (Read 1258 times)

I've finally sorted out my religion. I do not believe in a God, but that doesn't mean I should live my life in a way where there are no morals. I love the teachings of kindness from religions and I have decided that I want to live my life in that way but without a God.

But if there is no God there are no morals.

Since when does not believing in god mean you're a bad person? Being ethical is something everyone should do.

But if there is no God there are no morals.
There are still crimes against humanity, like patending the cure for cancer so nobody can use it.

This is worth discussing though.

But if there is no God there are no morals.
I hope god/the bible isn't the only thing keeping you from running around killing people.

religion has nothing to do with how nice you are

I thought I was an Atheist, and I realized recently that we all need some type of hope. In the back of my head, I ultimately know that there is most likely not a higher power, but I try to think that there is one. You can be a part of any religion even without believing in god.

But if there is no God there are no morals.
This is so ridiculous my god
I hope god/the bible isn't the only thing keeping you from running around killing people.

Society is the reason we don't go around unloading ammo into people for 'fun'.

what you are describing is deciding to be a decent person
religion is completely irrelevant

Please, lock this topic before another religion wars stuffstorm begins.

But if there is no God there are no morals.
