Author Topic: Why can't I install any UI edits?  (Read 849 times)

Problem is occuring on a Mac.

Yes, I have it all read only.

When I get a UI edit, the next time I launch blockland, even without wifi on, it overwrites everything and it makes everything default ui.

Help?

Badspot said not to set files to read-only.
There's an addon for that specifically.
Though I don't remember what it's called.

And what you do is ignore that and set the files to read-only.

Zack0Wack0 made it, I think.

Set files to read-only : Works for now, Badspot has hinted at it causing issues in the future.
GUI Replacer : I don't think it even works anymore.
User Content Alpha: No longer supported, slightly more taxing on harddrive, may not work for all cases.
Custom UI : Can cause lag upon initial opening of certain GUI, incompatible with some neat client-sided mods.
Custom Launcher : You have to know how to do it.

Read-only and custom launcher are probably the best options as of today.
