Author Topic: Suggestions for a PC game controller?  (Read 1322 times)

I'm looking into a PC game controller, I have some steam games that support game pad i.e. Supper Meatboy, and I would like to see if any of you guys have suggestions or recommend one, I appreciate it.

I have a Logitech F310.

Here's the thing: the brown townog sticks have giant deadzones, the spring tension of the triggers is a bit high, and the left side of the DPad feels a little weird/mushy. But it was super-cheap, can switch the left brown townog and DPad on the fly, as well as switch between DirectInput and XInput. It does what it needs to and I don't regret buying it, especially with its price. The DPad still feels a hell of a lot better than the stuffty 360 Controller or DualShock DPads, though those two definitely have the brown townog stick advantage.

Wow that's cheep, thanks Nikolan, suggest more if you guys like, if it dies I'll lock it

btw are wirless or wired better?

wait for the steam pads

Depends on how far you're sitting. Wired has the advantage of not requiring battery switches in the middle of something.

Depends on your preference but I like stuff that can do both

I mean I'll be sitting approx. a couple inches from the computer

Do the Xbox Controllers support windows 7?

no, they only support MS DOS. sorry.

i prefer wired. no adaptors, charging, drivers needed. about million times less pain in the ass. i mean how far away from the comp are you sitting anyway.

It's Xinput. It works for everything.

All you need.

For playing Sonic generations too?

And sega all star transformed?

I'll get it for casual gaming but it'll take time to get used to it if I play something like Sonic Generations

So blur, have you tested it or do you just "know"?

Well, I use one of my PS3 controllers. Just plug in in with a USB cord, and use the DS3 Tool.

That is, if you like the feel of a PS3 controller.
