Author Topic: My tongue has always been colored white, what do I do about it?  (Read 3443 times)

So basically, as far back as I can remember, my tongue has been coated white. I have no idea why, and from what I have researched, it's not normal. Unfortunately, the only things I have seen are to cure the temporary side effects. This has been going on for years.

No, I do not have oral thrush and I do not smoke.

No matter what I've done, I cannot get it to be a regular pink. Brushing my tongue, salt water, mouthwash, nothing has worked. I don't like how my tongue looks, so what should I do, any suggestions?

You should be on GBoW

but seriously i'm not a doctor
I would reccomed going to a real docter

well it looks like you've had leukoplakia all your life. you're gonna die

I think they once told me it was thrush or something.

Haha, I don't smoke.

Call a doctor, call anyone. Just not this place

That is odd though, I'm compelled to ask for a picture

Uhhhhh, I honestly would think that's creepy and is too gross.

I don't either, sadly that isn't the only cause and you're going to develop oral cancer and die. tell your family you love them because you will never see them again

Night fox you're legitimately scaring me because I literally cannot think of any other explanation.

I would think I would be dead by now if I've had it my whole entire life. If my dentist or orthodontist were concerned, they would probably have mentioned it by now.

that's not how you use cocaine acerblock

ok no. if he's had this going on all his life he most likely doesn't have cancer. I mean it can take a while to actually develop cancer (if it even does, there's only like a 20% chance of it max), but I don't think it would be his only symptom at this point. so no need to worry

yeah I wasn't being serious

Is it mostly on the side? And on the side of your cheeks too?
I've had something like as far as I can remember. Doctors cannot seem to find a reason for it, using anti-biotics will make it go away, but it grows back after going off them.
