Author Topic: Furdle's and Pass' StarWars Battlefront Server - "Flawless Shop System"  (Read 12262 times)

or maybe everyone get the same guns?

i don't even
or maybe remove guns

or everyone starts off with an instant kill gun. and it weakens per kill. so better players with kill streaks will be disadvantaged, and suck players can get back into the game quicker.
this'd be neat
i don't think i've ever seen a server that does this so it'd be interesting imo

The best trench server was Reinforcement one. Remember the   rupees huhuhu! :3

Oh god the memorieeeees

So situations resolved then?

I don't really care if this has been resolved or not. The weapon/shop system blaming is getting old.

I have never, not once in my entire life, had a problem with DMs being "unfair" because of the shop system.

That's because it is completely fair. The point of the shop system is for players to work their way up in the game. You rack up points, buy new and improved weapons, and make your way to the top. New players are suppose to have crappy weapons when they first join. It is entirely a matter of how the new player uses those weapons. I find it funny when people complain about the starting weapons because usually it takes me about 5 minutes to get the next best weapon. I actually laugh at them because it's hilarious how dumb and unwilling they are to put in the work to upgrade their weapons. If you want everything to come easily and for you to get amazing killstreaks right off the bat, you should just leave because that's not how it works.

Actually, your logic is flawed. Since when did other players' weapons have anything to do with your ability to get better guns? And you're not the only one who is new to the server, there are plenty of other people in your exact position.

Really what it comes down to is:  people need to stop blaming the weapons themselves and start blaming the player holding those weapons.

every time furdle has anything to do with a server it usually ends up badly

You should start with a nice selection of guns but then get guns that are different in their own ways (15% more damage, 10% less range and 5% slower, etc.) And special weapons that behave differently from the standard ones.

Oh I dunno, it can't be that Racer appreciated what was already there and wanted it to be better, and therefore more popular, and attract more players.  That couldn't be what he wanted at all.

Seriously, if multiple people want something, consider it, because that may just be the thing to make your mediocre server a great server.

sounds like a kid with a superority complex.

no one is claiming its hard or impossible to get the othef weapons. that isn't the issue. you know... the non issue that only you are fixated on.

this is why you, and people like you do not design games. because what you like is not balanced for a proper multiplayer experience.
you just like the fact that you can lord over other users on the internet. its less a game to you and a self esteem feeder.

Players have more powerful weapons then newcomers, that shoot faster and do more damage. That advantage hinders players abilities to get better guns.

Seriously, look at what you're arguing about, a scored based shop.

Racerboy you know how Furdle and Pass work towards criticism, yet you had to come in there and do your show, "omg shop sux" "thsi gam sux" "forget of pass shop sux".

Both sides are wrong here, shop systems are indeed flawed if you put value weapons according to their firepower, rate of fire, etc.

Racerboy stop pulling a Bushido you don't know how to do it.

Ok Furdle, here's what you should do man, make all the weapons unlocked, but you can unlock stuff for them like a different color, a new skin, a diff model that does the absolute same thing, make the unlocks entirely visual (you can have some differences if ya'd like).

Here's an example:

laser pistol - starter
laser pistol with blue projectiles - 200
laser pistol with blue projectiles + scope - 300
laser pistol with green projectiles - 200
laser pistol with green projectiles + scope - 300
laser pistol with red projectiles + scope - 300
golden laser pistol with purple projectiles + scope - 500

forget i clicked post snif

Continuing, like Pass said, the shop is supposed to hold the player in the server, but you might as well want to keep it balanced.
Racerboy mentioned objectives, it's an awesome idea, right now what you've got is a TDM which gets pretty boring after sometime.

dont kill me eldurf

In my opinion, if you can't take criticism without feeling personally insulted, you shouldn't have a server open to the public. Racerboy shouldn't have been banned.

Okay so basically;

Racerboy was suggesting a change, and instead of considering it, Pass just told him to forget off
cool.

There are way better ways to handle people with suggestions you don't like.

lol wtf. you are extremely biased.
i never told him to forget off. the shop is staying because it keeps players there. there isnt much more to discuss about it. racerboy didnt like how his opinion was rejected so he complained, got banned, and made a drama out of pure butthurtness. case solved.
