What is this?Menen and Marc VS The Space Mutants is a work in progress, feature length, animated, major motion picture from Swholli Productions (like that was actually thing). The same people who also (sort of) brought you Block Wars.
Menen and Marc are about to face their biggest challenge yet, space mutants.
2spooky4u.
I'd tell you more but the plot is really loose and nonpermanent, so bear with us on that we're in pre-production stages here.
Is this another Adventure? No no, this has no fan interactivity whatsoever. Except maybe that you can decide when to pause the movie and go to the bathroom.
Then why is this in Community Projects?Well, as you know, movies are not made overnight and they are certainly not made by just one person (at least, not usually and if they are, it takes a lot longer than what I have time for).
I'm asking you, the people of the forums, who enjoy the misadventures of Menen and his pals and their wacky highjinks, to lend a hand in the making of this film.
Consider this like a kick-starter except instead of money you donate your time.
Basically all we really need are vocal artists (or those close to that). If you think you've got a decent voice and aren't a child under the age of like, 15, then go ahead and submit an "audition tape."
Note, you must have a decent mic (not asking to have condensers here, just, if you're using your laptops built-in thing, sorry, no) and know how to do recording and sound editing. I don't want to edit your bloopers for you.
We're not really sure of the exact number of characters and thus parts we're going to have, and right now the voices of Menen and Marc are accounted for (UNLESS YOU CAN DO SOMETHING BETTER, IN WHICH CASE PROVE SO AND WILL USE YOU).
If you don't have recording software right this moment but you do have a mic and can download Audacity when we actually need you, but still want to audition right THE forget NOW, then you can just use
http://vocaroo.com/If you're a pixel artist or even an animator and want to contribute to the work so I don't have to do all of it myself, that'd be appreciated but not necessary. Pixels are pretty easy to move around "realistically" without too much thought, so animating is not difficult. With motion tweens (you say cheating, I say cheating but with style) and the fact that most of this stuff takes place from one angle and still looks convincing, it's not so bad.
Keep tabs on this topic for further updates and information, also yes I am still working on Chivalry too, don't worry.
Iv'e gone months without updating that before and you guys still read it, so don't gimme no lip.
