Remove audio track from avi files.

i cant make vlc default use the second track of a playlist of files.
the normal sound is the second track for some reason, and the odd russian overdub is the default.

how would you guys remove a track completely?
and no, the folder with the files does not contain a track file to be deleted. its part of the avi meta.

and yeah i can easily change the audio track to make it normal when i want. but its manual, so when im watching a random playlist of stuff for hours on end on my second monitor, i dont want to tab over every 20 minutes to adjust it.
i also sleep to files being played in the background, even less likely to manually do it.
