Author Topic: Network Problem  (Read 543 times)

As you may know from the last few topics I posted, I am running SUSE on multiple computers now, but one laptop in particular is giving me problems.

Whenever I try to connect to the internet on this computer, it connects to the network, but I can't access the internet. I pinged both the adapter and the default gateway of my network, and I have success doing both, but I still can't go on the internet.

This also happens when I connect it to the network via Ethernet.

Try pinging an external address. If it works; you might have a DNS configuration issue.

Ok, so, I pinged an outside address with no success, and I tried configuring an ip manually without DHCP, but I still have no results.

Your router is likely at fault.  Maybe it can only handle a certain number of devices.
I've had similar issues with my router randomly not putting certain devices through to the actual internet.
