I hate when kids do this, just say his loving name, or walk up to him and ask him. yeah it's poliete to raise your hand, but after about 40 seconds, just say his name or go up to him.

all my teachers i ever had in my life were great
except my kindergarten teacher.

she was such a dirtgbag.
she was super fat and needed a scooter to get around.

sounds like it was a good introduction to school!

i'm pretty shy.
Im shy too and often have frets of anxiety if pit in a group with people I don't know, but that won't stop me from asking the loving teacher. Either go up to him or speak up because if you're too shy to say the teachers name you have a problem.

Wait, was it 15 minutes, or "like" 15 minutes?

That's a longass time to be keeping your hand up; after 30 seconds, I'd either go up to him or ask someone nearby.

That is ridiculous. You don't sit with your hand up for 15 minutes (He probably wasn't even looking) if you don't understand the work. Go up to his desk and ask him if he can help you, not get smart when he actually does come over to help you.
He was mad because you could've gotten his attention, but instead chose to sit with your hand up while he wasn't looking for 15 minutes. Shyness doesn't prevent you from asking your teacher a question, and if it does, you need to fix it. I'm shy sometimes as well, but I know what I need  to get done and how to do it.
