Author Topic: [KC] App - Face's house (Kreon's server)  (Read 2950 times)

Yeah, since I was actually building a house on Kreon's City RP, I decided to use it as an app, rather than throwing out one of my old builds.

Ingame name is FaceDavid. ID is 12643.

So yeah. Basically, I took a small plot for my house, but later decided I wanted a garage too - I decided to make that kind of house where the entire bottom room is the garage. (Carport? Port house? forget i forget)
This was also to see how my overall house building skills improved. Personally, at least.

Ouside.

Garage floor, with THE  WASP.

Upstairs.

Battlestation.

Chillin area.

Bed + Laptop.

That's about it. I feel like there might've been more to add to the top floor, but I couldn't really put my finger on it. Although, I feel like what I have now is all that's necessary.

x/10 is allowed.

I really like it.
for some reason the first living room picture reminded me of CJ's house from GTA San Andreas, Nice!

its very unrealistically planned out.
first of all, its a box. you cannot deny it, it is just a square.

the interiors are all one room. realistically, houses are divided up into rooms. this is the largest mistake i see with houses to date.

the roof curve on the edges looks bad, and the 45 degree ramps coming together at the top is bad too. you have to plan our your building dimensions before you build so that doesn't happen with the roof.
the exterior is kind of cookie cutter style. it has the odd looking grey outlining that doesnt really fit a lot of houses, if any at all. the colors are also an odd choice. i dont understand what everyone's fancy with sepia-greys are.
the interior floor is ugly, and that couch is placed horribly behind the staircase, and it looks really weird with the 1x pole. you also used a lot of prop bricks, which is bad.
its a really generic city-rp house.
i love the bed, and the chair for the 'battlestation,' and i like the garage.

for my standards, its pretty average.
i'd rate it a 4/10

i dont know the standards for KC, but in my honest opinion, i wouldnt accept it. it needs a lot of improvement.

stuff

well yeah, but aren't most buildings?
basically any other house was like that - i tried to add depth and detail though, as opposed to making solid walls (i was kinda nervous about the top floor exterior)
also like i said, i had a small plot - there wasnt much space, although i guess i could've added some shape.

for some reason i didn't do that but i thought of it?? i guess i just didnt like how it fit with the space i had and i couldnt find a comfortable way to divide, bu i guess that was a problem on my part.

yeah thats exactly what happened oops

since, well, it's a house for a robot, i tried to make it look a bit industrial - adding concrete borders, but i didnt really know what else would fit. wood? it didnt seem to blend well.
the concrete beams were for depth, like i said in the first quote.
i also actually tried to make it not as symmetrical and repetitive as possible, but it's more of an up-close thing thats not really pictured here, oops.

forget i thought someone was gonna say that
i also tried to make my own computer but it didnt look very good - it's better off using the props. unless you meant in other places (in which i cant tell bc i really only used props there) yeah iunno
i love the bed, and the chair for the 'battlestation,' and i like the garage.
yo thanks

well yeah, but aren't most buildings?

I hate when people say this. You wanted to build a house, and how many houses do you see that are completely square?
It's not like you thought "Well, most buildings are square, so I'll make it square." (which is still illogical). You're just using it as an excuse.
The roof shouldn't be the same height at the levels below, that means that the roof is too steep. The side (with the garage door in the first pic) of the roof has the same flatness as that side of the house.

That bed is really ugly tbh...
But yeah square houses are a no-go.
And the roof is wayy too pointy.

He's right, most houses are not perfectly square. But you can def have a roof the same hight, or higher then the levels if you do it correctly. Take this pic of one of my houses as an example.

my dad's house is a square and the roof is about the same height as the first floor :c

That is lovely.

i'm gonna redo the house

also i'm actually surprised nobody said anything about the floor, i thought people would hate that
i'd change it but iunno what i'd do
maybe i'll have different flooring for each room

edit: got some good progress but the master server crashed god dammit

I meant when it is empty. In your house, there are actually rooms in the attic/second floor; not just an empty roof.

forget ill finish it tomorrow
i was getting assassinated for some reason

no im not making a jfk joke someone was literally shooting at me from their house

let me know when the new house is finished

im close to completing this but i feel like ive forgeted it up
on the inside its better i guess but it looks like each separate floor was stacked and then shifted oddly bc i tried to get rid of the box shape

forget
