And the whole terrain feels a bit bland, flat dirt, some buildings, random holes

I mean I know it is trench warfare but you could try adding some more landmarks like rivers, lakes etc to add some color to the gray-brown.
But it is pretty cool overall I guess

Last time I added any type of terrain it wasn't trench wars, it was terrain wars. No one built trenches and stuff, terrain ruined trench wars.

So apparently Paypal is a piece of stuff service and to receive donations you have to verify your loving account which i'm not doing. Not linking a credit card to that service.
