be sure to clear your cache with ctrl f5!~

it's likely that they're just impatient and aren't waiting for their avatar to update. sometimes it has a delay before it'll actually change

but it's not that it goes through and just takes a while to change, it gives an error:

at least that's what happens for me, and it's happening to some other people too

my current avatar wouldn't upload when it was a smaller size, it just gave me that error, and when i resized it to 75x75 it went through because that makes a lot of sense

I've only been able to upload things that are 14KB or less, oddly. Resolution means nothing.
