Author Topic: Port Forwarding on Verizon Wifi  (Read 1616 times)

So my main Internet is a Verizon Wireless mobile hotspot, and port forwarding is a pain.  For some reason, it is not working.  I took some screenshots of what it looks like so far.  What should I change/add?

In order to get to this window, I just use a custom application.

NoEdit: My problems are I might have the IP Address wrong, or the port range is different than it should.

Does the server you start run on those ports?
Use 28000 and/or 28100 if you can't figure out how to change.

The above link is to link your ip address, don't use that one for your porting. Go to your console and type ipconfig and use the ip4address or w/e it is. Has 4 in the name. I misunderstood what you were asking with the ip address. My apologies. The odds are that is correct.

You need to set the port range to your Blockland port. By default, that is 28000.

Also, are you really hosting DNS on that computer?

Well I was hoping to (don't have access right now).  Should I use something else?

If you don't use the port 28000 change this.

Do I just forward 28000, or just forward on how many players I want?  I've heard both ways.

I just do 28000 for all of them, and I can have as many players as I want.

So just make the port range 28000 ~ 28000?

I changed the ports to 28000 ~ 28000 and put both IP addresses (destination/connected device) to the one that my server hosted on.  I multi-cliented myself and it said I was trying to connect to port 28007.  Is that a problem?

See what scriode posted and make sure its set to 28000 not 28007.

Changed port to 28000, multi-cliented, and still didn't work.  Maybe I just have the wrong IP addess(es).

It is. It means a program is already using port 28000 - 28007.
Change the port to something else that Blockland will allow.
