First off, my gif is 75x75. The filesize is around 4.7kb. But it still gives me this error whenever I try uploading it

happened to me too, I just edited the image and saved it under a different name and that eventually worked.

This happened when swollow made my avatar, he told me to reset my cache (because it was working for him) and it worked.

After pressing Save, press CTRL+F5 or have you already done it

resize your avatar image to 64x64 or less. an avatar is supposed to be a small image not some huge 1024 x 768 2 mb file
