Author Topic: New pc internet help.  (Read 1232 times)

So for black Friday I got a new pc because my previous ones were beyond crap, but I'm having network problems. It says I'm connected to the wirless router, but says "limited" next to it and doesn't let me use the internet because of Windows 8 not giving/having an ip adress or some bullstuff.
Note: my internet works with everything else.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

right click that stuff and repair or diagnose the issue.

its also likely you need to reset the modem and router power.

I did this, but it only worked the first couple of times, then started doing it again.

No it's a Gateway.
Hmm, well, what kind of wifi card do you have?

Not sure, how would I go about checking this?

Unplug router, wait a few seconds, plug back in.

Change your router's channel.

Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wirless Network Adapter.

Bump. I need to know if it's my card or if I should just return my tower and buy another one. Any 500$ suggestions?

buy a computer that doesn't suck.

Are you connecting to your router with baseband or broadband?
