Author Topic: Duel Booting  (Read 1002 times)

I have a windows 7 Toshiba and I want to duel boot an osx operating system. Can anyone link me to some guides? Sorry this topic has pretty much no information, I am on a best-buy computer. I will post more information once I get home

DUEL BOOTING

the most intense kind of duel

wow i didn't know you could wear 2 boots

i always have one bare foot and one boot

is that not the right way???

nono, wearing two boots would be dual booting. This is duel booting, a fight to the death among boots!

no it's when you fight somebody with a boot

no it's when you fight somebody with a boot

Nonono, that's Boot Dueling.

Nonononono, duel booting is when you boot somebody out of a duel. This is clearly a cry for help against an abusive duel server host. We must solve the ARG!

Well duel reminds me of dual which means 2, so 2 boots, dueling against each other

This one may be tough

Since nobody else is even going to try being helpful, I did some searching and it looks like you'll have to use this: http://www.hackintosh.com/

The issue is that mac hardware is fundamentally different from windows hardware. You can run windows on a mac, but you can't run mac on a windows. There's VM software that emulates these differences, but it's not true dual booting. There's really nothing to say here, you can't. Follow a hackintosh project to see if you can convert your computer into something that will run mac.

Since nobody else is even going to try being helpful, I found this guide: http://www.wikihow.com/Dual-Boot-Mac-Os-X-Lion

That was for dual booting different OSX versions, sorry. Here's another page for bootcamp, which is what they use at my schools: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

Bootcamp is only for intel based macs hence macs only

Heres something ACTUALLY pertinent to his question being on a windows 7 laptop.

Thanks for the help, I think I will just start up my Mac reskin again.
