Dude chill its only an alpha. Take  your time and have fun with it, you're doing me a favor after all.
The primary resource for this first build will be pumpkins.


Yeah so Shouldn't have gotten your hopes up. While I am soon leaving my current occupation fixing computers  to join the much less lucrative career of breaking them making games for them, they are squeezing in more hours while they are looking for my replacement leading to less time atm for doing this.
Progress is being had but with stupid bugs like all the resource blocks sharing the same pool of juice there is not much releasable. Getting there though.  :cookieMonster:

Getting there indeed. Only two more workdays until this becoomes my full time thing, and with minor bugs in players not spawning and bot randomly becoming unresponsive there is going to be a release soon. That's all Iwill say though since it seems every time Igive a date something happens to set me back weeks. And so no one is surprised, this first version is going to suck. :D

so its been a week and i have done nothing. i needed a break. but breaks over and im going full steam
in the past two days i got more done than the past three months of working on this thing. there were lots of issues that i was like fine ill scrap everything one last time. but now things are much better organized. teams are teaming and buildings are buildinging and much more. its tricky programming everything so general case but it will be worth it when youll be able to define your entire gamemode in one easy to edit ruleset.cs file. datablocks are finicky as they dont like being added in real time but whatevs.
my first version is mainly me trying to get the system to work. players will be given command items and have to walk around the battle field giving orders. the second release will be tto change the camera and make it more rtsy (anyone who knows easily how to do this please share to save me the work) and the main final release will be getting the plugin support  fully going. one step at a time though.

So im a bit more than a month late but I hope to have a playable version finished either tonight or depending on how much other stuff I have to do, saturday. I am very excited to actually be making progress on this thing now after having to bide my time with silly alien pictures and so much. Just goes to show what frantic production in an unemployed enviornment can lead to. The first release will also feature a list of upcoming features I wont have done in time to have something playable next.
But yay.

Keep on going mate, seems like you are making progress.
Don't let some small bugs and stuff take your spirit down (i know it sometimes does for me) and work from release to release so you can show us how amazing everything is. :)

of course i didnt make said deadline. the stubborn crab i am, i still havent done holebots and am trying to get my own more rts oriented bots to work. its mostly fine but they seem to forget their command wheneveer they jump over an obsticle and i am pulling my hair out about it. not too much thoughcause i like my hair. anyways if i cant get them to work ill release what i have before switching to the holebot option

Testing this with a friend right now and we've came across a few things, should I list them or do you not want to be overwhelmed right now lol.

Also, you should add Support_Updater support so we can get automatic updates.

Please do, the more bugs i find the more i can fix between updates
As it is a pain in the ass for me to upload a file as i have no reliable internet, it is important to make as many fixes as i can between updates so im not driving to town for every bug patch.

You win by having your soldiers target the enemy command post. If theres a bug with that let me know it seemed to be working but it is finnicky :/

Ill look into that support update but right now I can barely do regular updates so automatic updates might be a bit silly. Thanks for the encouragement guys btw, I probably would have given up already had I not seen so many people complaining about how long I took :P

Yeah, it says they're attacking it but they just stand next to it.

These are the ones I can remember from last night

  • Wouldn't allow me to spawn horse soldiers, saying I didn't have enough resources even though I had plenty
  • Ghost bricks don't disappear when the minigame is reset, idk if this is actually related to the mod
  • For some reason it decided to make both of the command center things on one team at one point
  • A bot didn't despawn when the minigame reset, couldn't be controlled or anything and enemy bots wouldn't shoot it
  • Bots don't spawn when there's a lot around the house thingy (which is understandable)

If people would be ever so kind when writing bug reports to be a bit detailed  in recreating this so i can have more an idea how to find the bug myself. if you dont know how it happened thats fine too,just the more info the better, i cant play online so i cant see these bugs myself unless i can make them happen here
