Author Topic: What defines a Youtube "feat?"  (Read 395 times)

You know those videos that have the word "feat" or the abbreviation "ft." in parenthesis in their title? What exactly does that even mean?

Is there any actual definition of a YouTube feat, or do people just put that in their title to attract more viewers when they feel like they've done something significant? I get the feeling that this is the case, since I couldn't find any sort of actual definition for a YouTube "feat" anywhere on the internet.

featuring
This. And it's not limited to video, it's commonly used in music as well.

Video that has enough activity to start getting large amounts of ad revenue from.

Oh ok, that makes much more sense

That also makes sense as to why I couldn't find a definition online either, because I searched thinking it meant "feat" as in an achievement of some kind, not as an abbreviation, lol

Video that has enough activity to start getting large amounts of ad revenue from.
wait so it doesn't just mean "featuring?"
edit- no I'm just being dumb. He's just answering my question, not what "ft" means.

Anyways, I guess I'll lock since there isn't much more to talk about on the subject
