8k is half of what a minimum wage worker doing 40hrs a week makes in a year
and then they'res no guarantee they're going to get a better paying job
and the 2 years wont get you a degree, be realistic you're going to a college for a minimum at 4 for a degree (this is assuming this is 8k for 2 years, not one)

With proper budgeting and not being stupid with your money, you could make it.
 Seriously, poor people CAN go to college. It's not a fantasy, it can be done, and it is done.

Well. Not all poor people are as bad as you think. Some people might not even have the money for college, so they didn't go to it. There's no reason to criticize poor people. Some people have to work as long and hard as they can to pay for a house, car, and other things, while also raising children, it's harder than you think. McDonald's pays their employees like, what, 6 dollars an hour? That's not enough money to raise children, and pay bills for a house and car, don't say "forget the fast food workers," say "forget the fast food restaurants". And they have a right to speak their minds. I agree that they should have a higher pay.
