We lost our entire hockey tournament for PE at school, because some special kid had to get "free shots". Also he said if it was a game he wouldn't play, so we had to convince him it was just a practice.

and then they go home and complain to their parents who then go to the school and cry that their child's needs are not being met and then that forces the school to accommodate and then they have to act like this and yeah

so it sorta makes sense

in p.e we have these hockey tourneys, and there was one team full of special needs kids because we got to pick teams and the teachers wanted them to be together

so it was the final match, and it was us vs the special needs kids because the teachers kept giving them the matches.

it was a no-goalie game yet the kids kept stepping in the goalie box, jumping in the box to block the puck with their foot, and other bullstuff penalties. the teachers turned a blind eye because they "dont know any better".

we still won the game but got lunch detention because we "weren't considerate of others"

it makes no sense to do it though. standard schools aren't horribly well equipped for kids with severe disabilities, and in my school there are 3 or so kids who are nonvocal and autistic who run screaming down the hall and disrupt classes in progress by running in through open doors. I'm not saying they don't deserve special accommodations, but these three kids aren't nearly in as controlled or therapeutic of an environment that they need. If they're upset enough to run and scream like that, I feel so bad for them

The only time when special needs kids shouldn't get their special treatment by teachers is during sports games because it inbalances the game terribly.

Some special needs kids take the slightest tones too seriously. Kinda like a baby, if you raise your voice any more than normal, they cry or whine. Sometimes they freak the forget out and start to throw stuff. This can also cause other people to get slightly paranoid.

Although some of the kids in this group get special treatment, I think some of it is needed, but they shouldn't get any special perks either. They should just get their needs met instead of forcing some girl to date them.

The only super obvious special needs kid in my school are deaf and one is color blind
Everyone else is pretty normal I guess
