Author Topic: Happiest City in the US?  (Read 1967 times)

Pittsburgh is an awesome city, I stayed there in 2011. It's sort of depressing though, almost everyone you meet is an alcoholic or a heavy smoker and the vibe in Pittsburgh isn't a great one. I still love it as a city. I think the downtown is pretty too and very well kept. Don't forget this too, Pittsburgh used to be the top city in the country where steel was produced. Buffalo, NY is the same, and it's even more depressing than Pittsburgh.

The whole country is just getting depressing.

The whole country is just getting depressing.

It's because of our economy, and not only that - our youth is becoming disastrous. It is terrifying to see how American culture is no more.

Why? Do you live in one of those cities?
No, but if you simply look up crime rates of both you'll see Detroit is worse

St. Louis is listed second but the murder rates are 4th in the nation, with Detroit being #1.

St. Louis has been ahead of Detroit recently

Wth. I've walked through downtown STL and been perfectly fine, and I'm no scary kinda guy...

Any place where a ton of dirty people bunch up together in the same area is not happy and is in fact a crime zone. These are also the same people who think the earth is overpopulated.

Detroit has some nice parts.

san diego.
it's the california city that's avoided all the flak that being a cali city gets you, it's really nice to visit and even nicer to live.

About a year ago I saw a guy who was shoplifting in a store called Shop n' Save (kind of ironic name) and a cop saw him and chases him into the parking lot. The guy turns around and punches the cop. Then the shoplifter get punched in the stomach three times and put in handcuffs...you know what he stole? ONE bottle of beer *shakes head*

Not downtown saint louis, east saint louis.
Soon as you cross the river.

That place is so terriable there's been a few documentaries about it. Highest crime rate of any first world city.

We don't always consider east st. louis to st. louis, so I'm just going say that that's irrelevant then. :P
