A lone figure. Slouching but determined. From what you could see ahead anyway. This is it. This is where it ends.
"I figured I would find you here. Its the same view from last time."
The form spun around surprised. A fear creeped in his eyes for sure. He re-gained his composure.
"Last time?"

"You know, the last time you sent the planet to hell."
Familiarity. It registered. He definitely remembered.
"Ah. We have met before. I think I recall."

"You do seem to know how to keep off the age. How you did it doesn't matter to me. Its my turn to prevent what you're about to do again."
Eyes darted around. He looked for others like me.
"you... are definitely confident when talking to the man with a detonator in his hands..."
You pulled out the battery
"You know, you can't just get these
anywhere. I made sure to pull it out before you left the camp that night. Drop the detonator."
come on. take the bluff. He hesitated for a while. seemingly frozen in time. you hoped he didn't realize the battery was still in the remote. He dropped the detonator.

"What now? Are you going to arrest me? Your affiliation with the law expired 300 years ago."

"I'm not bound to that mentality anymore. I'm not going to arrest you. I'm going to kill you for a wound that didn't expire."
The tension rose. He didn't plead or beg for mercy. But rather wore a grin on his face.
"You're holding a grudge. It appears my lifes work wasn't in vain after all. Your flaws are your perfection in my eyes."

"Only if your work didn't plan to turn around and kill you."

"You're a fool to think I came alone!"
You felt your operating system skip a calculation. Red dots danced over your body. You forgot to check for his cronies.
Its time you made a move. And you hope your mind suggests something quickly.
