Ugh, my school's on a 3-hour delay, but there's a catch.

So due to ice, my school has just been put from a 2-hour delay to a 3-hour delay. However, there's a stupid catch to it that just blows my mind.

They don't count 3-hour delayed school days at all.

Why? This is so stupid, why would you not count the school day with this delay? Just cancel school! Seriously, it's useless to have this long of a delay and mark the school day off as cancelled!

After a while or something, they add the school days to the breaks. Now that I think of it though, this is the first one, so it probably won't count.

where else are they gonna get an extra day? also it's not the school's fault, they're required to have a certain amount of days, and there are rules for them about what counts as a "day"

Ok, sorry. But anyway, school is delayed, so we go in later. If they would extend the day, they would count it because it meets the required time, I guess.

first it was a 2 hour delay but it went to a cancel while i was asleep; so my dad was messing around with my alarm clock trying to turn off the alarm before it rang, and he ended up making 2 hours ahead, so when i woke up it said 10:00 and i freaked out
but then he told me it was a cancel, so lol
