Author Topic: My laptop screen keeps going black  (Read 1581 times)

it could be because it has dead ram in it, you should check if all ram is working
it is pretty old. how would i check that?
if used wet tp with water to clean screens (though you should use microfiber towels lol)
its fine. but if you spray something onto the screen you risk forgetin it up if it drips down.
it was a soft cloth and there was no spraying. it actually hasnt happened since i made this topic so it's kinda weird.

try doing a ram test

use windows memory diagnostic tool, as explained here

Turn off your router would help a lot. ;)

correcting your computer problems somehow for $20

sounds like an issue with your backlighting, check your power settings for any wonkiness

My friend's school laptop did this and she said that "he just readjusted a wire and some settings."

Probably just a shorted out wire.

This happened to my mom's laptop.

Turned out her video drivers needed updated. After I installed the updated driver the problem never happened again.

the screen actually hasnt done anything again yet so im waiting before trying any of this

try doing different positions for the screen thingy

Do you have another screen that you could attach to the laptop? I think that's a good way to check if the screen is the problem or if it is the computer when it goes black again.

you can check if your ram is ok by taking it to a professional, like computer fixers or computer part stores, as laptops are hard to do so without loving up. i suggest not trying it yourself.

Its not hard to run a test to see if your RAM is okay.  Its not always the most accurate, but it can definitely help (as Nikolan suggested below)

Its cringing from your jpeg's

The monitor cable might be coming unseated, if you take that to a shop they could crack that thing open and check it out for you. I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself because laptops are the biggest pain in the ass on this planet.

This happened with my brother when I kicked the back of his laptop.
So probably someone did something.
