Author Topic: OSU! - Port's pp is weeping in the corner (Bung/Japanese Rhythm Game)  (Read 27278 times)

I tried playing a "normal" beatmap once. It didn't go well.

I'm sorry I just cant right now

rekt

i can't even play taiko like how the forget does it even work
I have no clue at all.
I tried like twice and it was just a mess.

wow you mooks never played Taiko no Tatsujin?

ok so basically you hit the center when it's orange and the sides when it's blue...clearly you don't have the actual drum controller because it's osu! and therefore it's a lot less fun and more difficult because you're pressing four keys right next to each other and not hitting a drum thing.

So when it's orange, you hit X or C, and Z or V when it's blue (orange being the "center" and blue being the "sides"). You hit both when it's a larger circle (X/C or Z/V) and you spam them when you get a long line. But since a bunch of people play osu! primarily with a mouse, I don't think you actually have to press both with a larger circle.

Remapping the keys might make it easier.

I also got an A B and an S respectively on both songs that came with osu!
Before that I thought they were impossible

ok so I just mapped the Taiko mode keys to the top row of my arcade stick. it's slightly easier because the buttons are larger and more spaced out than ZXCV.

it's also confusing as hell because you see this line thing:

in the actual Taiko no Tatsujin game, you're supposed to rapidly smack the drum, but osu! won't register it if you spam both keys. you have to tap ONE key and it's kind of dumb.

still an ok representation, maybe if you can find a PS2 Taiko controller with an adapter it'll be better.

or you can find an arcade with Taiko no Tatsujin. downside to that is that they usually have a limited selection of songs (the ones my brother and I found in Singapore had iDOLM@STER songs and Ai wo Torimodose, so it's all good)

Get 100% on Period is my only goal now.
I must do it

how the forget has nobody made an Ai wo Torimodose!! beatmap yet?

I DON'T KNOW WHY IT'S SO HARD TO GET 100%
IT'S ONLY ON EASY

Download the spinner only map and practice.
I'm actually ok at doing the spinners, it's just that they appear out of nowhere in the song I was playing

clone stahp specing me when im learning hardrock maps :(

WHY IS IT THAT I CAN PLAY HIDDEN ON ONLY THIS ONE SONG

Owning maps that once seemed impossible is one of the best feelings in the world, along with love, parenthood and owning a cool leather jacket.

I don't know how long I was just playing for but my eyes hurt from only blinking like 5 times a minute and everything is sore help.

Adventures of Easy-only Scrublords:

100%/SS Rank a song to find out your 97%/S Rank score is somehow higher, and therefore your personal best doesn't change.

I personally feel like if I can S or SS a difficulty, it's too easy, and I just keep playing the next difficulty higher until the former applies, even if I can never pass it lol.

All of the normal beatmaps for me are either fast or WAY TOO FAST

I loving hate it when they throw this super fast bullstuff section at you that drains like 90% of your life, then play a slow section where your life drains before you can get it back. Jesus christ.
