how come kalphs server had twice as much players and half the gimmicks when he hosted it?
The first time we hosted it, we got ~105 players before Betelgeuses sabotage finally destroyed the server.
Second time we got like 80 before it randomly crashed.

I was thinking doing cross-server chat and having two servers up, with cross-events and cross-clients.

So essentially clients (players) show up on both servers.


Is this possible?

dont be that hard on them this is their first year taking up the reigns

some ideas for next year:
better songs that everybody knows and loves from the year.
sync the celebration with a livestream, and do activities and skits like "top 10 best and worst posts of the year"
give each member of the staff a role so it isnt so clustered.

The biggest flaw in this was not having done any of the testing I wanted to do.
That's the problem with any server that's kept private until the time of the event.

I really wanted to run mass, public tests of the gamemodes and such, but Nal never really wanted the server to be unpassworded.
Besides, I could never get a crowd of people anyway.
