It's a tragedy alright, no dispute. It bugs me that the media and those who strongly stand by their political parties have to turn things into a political mess. Discussing it, is a minefield nonetheless.
In criminal justice we talked about how violent crime has dropped, these tragedies are part of that small percentage of violent crime that happen every year. All you do is try to the reduce losses. Hopefully the two students that got shot will make through. However their lives will be changed forever and might have to suffer with their injuries.
