Thinking of writing a book

I'm thinking of writing a book. I'm really imaginative so I bet it would be really good, I just have one problem, I failed English in school (which I re-took and passed later in college)
Anyone 18+ have experience with creative writing?
Please, if you're below the age of 18, I don't want to know about how you once got an A one time on your paper in 5th grade.

I already have a REALLY good idea and a synopsis written down, I am reading Game of Thrones at the same time to try and work out how to write well lol

and the fact he complains about people being under 18 is just as douchy

I used to do creative writing.  I'd write single-spaced stories that were like 5 pages long and got As on like all of them.  I don't really have any good pointers, I just came up with a topic and just put down everything that came to mind.

Why do i need to be 18+ to be considered a good writer?
