I made a map (v2 in comments)

I need critique. This is (obviously) a very rough draft, so I have yet to add forests and actual city markers (The ones now are just placeholders).

My final draft of the map will probably include lakes and rivers and such.

The edges of the land look unnaturally natural, if that makes sense. Right now it just looks a bit like ripped paper... not really like land. All the jigs and jags vary from the center a bunch... it looks like it was intended to be randomly not uniform.

What I mean is that, if you take a piece of soft paper, like a napkin, and rip it, it will have big jagged parts, but that's not what land really looks like. (The paper texture that he put on the map was just a coincidence)

yeah, I've just started adding forests and stuff. Also in my original sketch of the map I had another landmass to the right. I'll upload another updated version of the map tomorrow.

Sense I dont have a scanner, and I don't really feel like doing it all from eye again, I think I may just take a picture of my sketched out map with my phone and trace over that :x

An update before I go to bed. I retraced the map from my actual drawn sketch, so its more like what I actually had originally planned. The ocean is too blue atm, but ill change that later, as well as add mountains and forest.

also i added a cute little dotted line around the coast which I think looks fancy.
