Author Topic: My dog is sick.  (Read 1479 times)

Blogland,

So I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is just about two years old. Today when I woke up, my brother said she threw up and wasn't accepting food or water. I didn't really think anything of it, since she randomly vomits every now and then. Later, when I was on Blockland (ohp, Blockland! Must go in general discussion) she threw up twice right under my feet. I put her in a crate downstairs where she spent the rest of the day.
My whole family figured she was just having an upset day, and she puked again around noon. She started drinking a little water, which I kept in a bowl in the crate. Then I left the house to do some stuff for my sister's birthday, when I came back, there was RED vomit in AND out of the crate. All red water, and the bowl was empty. Don't know what's wrong with her, Mom already left to go to the vet. Pancreatitis? Idk.

why would you put her in a loving cage? i hate when people do that stuff.

woah the ending was 2spooky4me

hope your dog feels better, 2 years seems young ;(

why would you wait so long to take it to a vet

That, or vomit on the carpet. Take your pick.

We only discovered the red vomit like 30 minutes ago.

put her in a room with a smooth floor, it's just not right to put dogs or cats in cages.

Only smooth floors in my house are the kitchen (no), laundry room (clothes on floor), bathrooms (might work, but they all get used by people and have special 'rules'), utility room (too much bad stuff to get into), and the basement (access to the carpeted stairs).

Yeah my mom and brother took her.

Yeah my mom and brother took her.
okay so start clearing a room to make way for her

If you have to, find some old sheets and lay them on the floor and try to dog-proof the room.

This could be internal bleeding near the stomach area, could explain the blood and the vomiting.

Maybe she swallowed a shuriken.

Hope that isn't the problem...we have had so many pet issues over the past couple years it is totally INSANE.

but where would the internal bleeding come from? he never stated anything about the dog getting hurt.
edit: i meant other then the dog vomiting, how did the dog get hurt

I don't know anything she could have eaten, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility.  I always have to watch her carefully or tie her to a chair next to me, otherwise she gets into everything.  She always likes licking the cat food bowl and eating out of the litter box, but she doesn't really chew on anything.  She only eats things if they resemble food (food, pacifiers, anything made of cotton, etc) but we really really keep all that stuff away.

im kind of an idiot but when my dog is sick she eats grass
