I would think that serial killers have more of something like selective empathy, like they only have it towards objects or people they have been around for a long time.

antisocial personality disorder is what 99.99% of serial killers suffer from

I don't think we as humans are that far in evolution to turn off such a basic emotion. ASPD sufferers only seem to really care about themselves or a physical item they are attached to, as they are incredibly self-centered. They, to my knowledge, have little concern for anything that is not materialistic in nature.

Considering though that everything about psychology is classified in a spectrum, my argument contribution to this topic may or may not be accurate depending on if ASPD is classified as psychopathy or sociopathy.

That poses the question of whether some serial killers feel like they are in the real world or some type of matrix/videogame world.

Hard to tell. They are most definitely out of touch with reality as we see it, but what is feels like to them is pretty much impossible to tell.

There is actually a recorderd condition where a person feels like reality is not truly real, like a dream or game.

Lol I can barely read it.  Not OPs fault, just can't read close wording very well.  What I'm getting out of it, I do pretty much agree.  I'll just sit back and watch posts until I see an opening to get in.

Uh oh the human is starting to think again

This thread was an inside job.

OP, I think you may find some of this guy's videos interesting.

Basically what I am trying to convey is that we operate in our own unique perceptions of reality, which then controls our decision making process and determines our justifications for doing/not doing certain things.  However, seeing as how no two people's perceptions of reality are identical, we, as individuals, have different justifications for the same action.

Are you studying or are interested in studying communications?

No I was just sitting there building stuff in Minecraft creative and the thought just came to me.

Also wouldn't it be more psychology than communications?

I am familiar with both, and it sounds very communicationd oriented.  Look into it- it's a fine subject.  :)
