How do you get backgrounds and emotes also trading cards? I'm sorry for this question. I don't really know that much about steam.

You get cards for playing, and you get backgrounds and emotes for crafting badges from trading cards

just run the game. cards pop up in your steam inventory randomly over time.

icons/avatars i think you get only by completing steam badges for blockland. (trading in sets of cards)
