He won't. He's made it clear it's your job to keep your key and email account in your possession and he's understandably unwilling to waste time handling each instance where someone's trying to provide proof of purchase.
You won't get a reply so get a new key while there's still a discount.
If you do it for one person you have to do it for everyone. I can't blame him for not opening the flood gates to these requests - it's not his responsibility.
I have kept my key written on paper and saved onto my previous computers, but they've all died since then and I've lost my paper because I was moving. Half the people who claim they've lost their key are also just bogus, whereas I can provide substantial proof, and my IP hasn't changed location in almost 4 years. My previous account also proves who I am.
I can understand there are other legitimate people who want their key back because they've lost it, and badspot doesn't want to spend time on it, but most of them spent $20 on their key, for a life-time membership, as it says on the retail website. I don't think it's fair that he can spend his time creating a drama about some handicapped kid e-mailing him insulting him about his revoke, or their moms e-mailing him over child-safety issues, but I don't complain about those. All I'm asking is to get my key back. If he doesn't want to spend his time on it, why doesn't he have you or Kompressor help with this? You're all working on this game together so I don't see why not.
