Avatar size?

What size are the avatars on the forums, and where can I get them? I will probably just make one though.

The maximum size avatar is 75x75.
In order for .gifs to be animated, the also need to be that or under.

basically, if it's larger than that the forum software will resize it down

however, if it's animated, it will be sized down to 75x75 and will then become static
