Yeah so I'm getting one in the very back of my mouth.  I keep chewing up the side of my mouth because of it.  Who has ever gotten them removed and how bad is it?

I had to get four removed. I don't think it was bad. Occasional soreness but I don't remember much pain. Others think it sucks.

You swell up so much though.

I already have a plan set for when I get them removed. I'm just going to live off this special pasta sauce my parents would make when I was younger. Just make it and eat it for days. It's that good.

Lol, this is happening to me right now too. I actually pulled out a small sharp thing embedded where the tooth was; it seemed rooted, so it may have been part of the tooth. It was small though, so I pulled it anyway.

It varies from person to person. For me it was very painful only after they took the teeth out.

How long did the pain last?

From what? It sticking in there, or me pulling it out?

Pulling it out.

I had all four removed. It was kinda stuffty. I didn't swell up much and I was kind of laid on my ass for two-three days, and then I slowly returned to normal over the course of about two weeks. Couldn't go off pain meds for about two and a half weeks without slightly incapacitating pain.

Also be careful about keeping your socket clean of food stuff. stuff builds up in there if you're not careful and it's grosssss.

Got my wisdom teeth out about two months ago and I'm still kind of picking stuff out of there with my tongue, haha.

Not that long (about a minute). I have a higher pain tolerance than most, though, so it may have hurt more/longer for others.

I have an abnormally low pain tolerance so this worries me.

Note: this was some random thing I pulled out of my guns myself. In a dentist's office, they'll use painkiller.

I have to get mine out next month. They hurt occasionally but it's never too bad.

3 of my wisdom teeth are straight and do not hurt. One is a bit at an angle but it still doesn't hurt. Guess I'm lucky.
