Author Topic: Sqlite Error on MAC OS 10.7.5 - BlobContainer - Can you help a girl out?  (Read 621 times)

Dear Blockland Forum Users:

I will begin by asking you please be gentle with me. I am just a mom trying to figure out whatthestinkinheck my 9-year old son did to my computer and how to fix it. He is an avid Blockland fan and it is making him very sad his favorite game has made my computer unwell. He feels so bad that he can't figure out what to do about it and is hoping all the wiser, smarter, and more experienced Blockland players can help him. Normally, this would be something his dad would help him with, but he is currently deployed so it is up to me to solve the problem. I have never played Blockland so I am certain I will not use the correct terminology, etc. So with that introduction in place, PLEASE HELP US!!!!

My son recently had this error code pop up:

Quote
Blockland: Sqlite Error

Blockland - BlobContainer::snapshotBuffer(3) - sqlite error 'disk I/O'. Ensure that '/Users/myname/Documents/Blockland' is writable.

I cannot force quit Blockland or close out of the error windows, or even turn my computer off because I cannot do either of those things. If I force a shut down of my computer by unplugging it (gasp!!!), the error code is still there when it restarts. Deleting the cache.db has done nothing to fix this problem, either.

I am on a Mac OS 10.7.5 (I know, our first problem. Normally he plays this on his dad's PC), and I think the Blockland version is 20m (? Does that make any sense?)

I look forward to your help, as does my little guy. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give a mom and her son.

M.

Navigate to "/Users/myname/Documents/" and find the folder called "Blockland".

Right-click on it and select "Info". Make sure that Blockland is not read-only.

Thank you so much for the response!

I've done as instructed and all users have read & write permissions. What next?

Go to "/Users/myname/Documents/Blockland" and try deleting the "cache.db" file.

Then try again
