Author Topic: how do i remove this adware  (Read 2506 times)



ads for this stupid anti virus keep popping up in my browser and my desktop and i don't know how they got there. i already ran a malwarebytes quick scan but nothing came up is there anything else i can do?

Check browser extensions. Then look at recently installed programs and see if anything is there. I kept getting something called "Scorpion Saver" and it sucked because it kept coming back.

Then I used this and every problem I had disappeared.

It's by Malwarebytes, didn't you say you already use them?

I personally recommend AdwCleaner, as it gets rid of adware in services, registry, shortcuts, most of everything adware leaves behind. It's worked for me. A restart is required after a scan, though, and it closes most of your programs >_>
