Author Topic: Teamspeak for Clans - Accepting Application  (Read 1428 times)

First off, what is Teamspeak? Teamspeak is a voice over IP. Voice chat that is better then skype for so many reasons, take a look: http://teamspeak.com/ or watch a video here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPT5wMQ-KKA moving on.

Teamspeak
Keywords: Guild = Clan| TS = Teamspeak

Ember Gaming is offering Teamspeak channels to any guild that would like them. Why? I honestly can only giving you one reason for this game. Teaching someone how to play, model, or have fun is 10x100 easier through voice. As plain as I can put it. I guess there is two actually, it's free as-well.

What you need to do to get it

How to get it: Easy enough. E-mail me at fiscon@embergaming.net It is asked the Guild leader completes this.
Guide Lines: (Make the e-mail like this. Incorrect e-mails will be rejected. I do not have time to waste on deciphering different formats. Spellings doesn't really matter, only format.)

My Username: Fiscon
Are you the guild leader: Yes
As a guild leader you will be given a second tag [Guild Leader] at the end of your name to allow for easy identification.

My Guild Name: Ember
Allows us to place guild name after first title channel.

What you would like your guild tag to be:
Example: [|ER|] is Ember. You select what goes in between the ||. Up to four letters max.

Total Members: 20
So I know that I can support you and your guild.

Estimated Members that would use TS: 0
Why? So I can generate keys for you and your members in the situation no one is on to give the tags to you or your members.

What Channels you need:  (This is the basic)
Blockland - GUILD NAME HERE(Notice this is a title channel and cannot be entered)
Lobby
-Room 1
-Room 2
-Meeting

Locked Rooms I want:
Lobby - password
Meeting - password

Need-To-Know

- After we have created your channel and everything in that department is finished I will set up my bot to move anyone with your clan tag to your channel. (This only happens when you connect to Teamspeak, you can move after that like normal).

- The bot will automatically remove anyone with foul names. For example, "****". If you do not believe your name is foul, then change it for a temporary amount of time and contact me. If I consider it foul, nothing will change, but your name.

- The bot will move users that have been idle for 60 minutes to a room called "Server Caught Me". Once you resume activity on Teamspeak you will be automatically moved back to you were. Just by pressing a hotkey, the bot will send you back to your channel.

- There is a Community Channel for Blockland.

- There are special powers granted to my staff. Full list: http://embergaming.net/chain-of-command.html Short list: Moderator, Admin, Assistant Head Admin, Head Admin, Co-Founder, and Founder. When seeking help you start at the beginning to the end.

- The staff of Ember Gaming's Teamspeak do not fiddle in the affairs of your guild. You are the leader, you are the one to handle it. If you remove someone from your guild and they harass you, that is when you contact us. Otherwise we stay out of your business unless you call.

- Your guild channel is your home. Say what ever you want however you want, but once you enter another channel, you need to realize that you are in another person's home and respect that fact.

-If you are caught harassing another guild, or players in community rooms its insta-ban. To make a ban appeal you can e-mail me.

-Push-To-Talk is forced in Community Rooms.

-Your guild is placed in order by which it joined. All Ember affiliated guilds are posted at the end of Teamspeak, so we don't place our guilds above yours.

-We have afk channels for you to use and would recommend it.

-Passwords are recommended!

Optional

- You can have a small 16x16 image that represents your guild which will show up on all your members names to the very far right. (Your name here: Blank space all the way to far right side of TS :[Your 16x16 img]) My apologies for the lack of a better example. You will understand better when we are in Teamspeak

- Additional rooms (Just add to above applicator or contact a moderator/admin on the server)

- If you have a guild member who is constant leaving their mic open and it is to annoying, contact a moderator and they will be forced to use push-to-talk. (Only guild leader can ask that this be done.)

- Finally, the last thing if you want is a list of your clan rules and any URL links to images you'd like posted inside your guild channel.
(When someone clicks your title channel on the far right they can see a description.)
Example:
Centered PHOTO(You must give me a direct link.)
Left aligned text: Rule 1. No spamming
Rule 2. No abusing glitches.
Rule 3. So on and so forth

If you'd wish to design it yourself, you can. Just start contact me.

If the Teamspeak is shutdown this image will say so here.

Thank you those who have read this far. If you simply just want to use the Teamspeak without a guild that is fine. The IP is in the image.

After the e-mail is sent I'll respond to you with the IP address and a set amount of codes that will last two weeks.
This does not break the forum rules as far as I know.

NO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COLOR CODE THE EMAIL.
AS A GUILD LEADER YOU WILL GAIN NO SPECIAL POWERS.
DO NOT ASK FOR ADMIN.
SPAM WILL BE FILTERED.

I really can't see this being used much
When I need to talk to fellow clan members, I just Skype them.

Neither do I, its just here as an option.

When I need to talk to fellow clan members, I just Skype them.
Skype has so many downsides compared to teamspeak though.  Teamspeak can have more than 8 people in a call at once, it's not as laggy depending on a host, the one I use that nobot bought is by a licensed domain, so it never lags.

It's just much better.

No don't do that. You won't hear my pretty voice. Why would you put that in someones Teamspeak thread :/.
Other then that I agree, Skype just honestly doesn't compete when it comes to gaming. When you take latency into count Teamspeak will throw it out the window. The reason I like TS is because it appeals to all users. Those with great connects who can Skype with no cost to their internet speed, and those with high latency. Plus the ability to house a full community if you have the right documentation.
