Tornado sirens test here once a month. Here in St. Louis we get a couple tornadoes a year, probably. The sirens go off several times also. I've kinda stopped worrying about it myself, except for my grandparents, who have no basement. :/

I had a tornado almost form right in my backyard once.
It was loving insane. Our giant outdoor grill got flung across the yard, Our fence broken, And our backdoor was impossible to keep closed because the wind was pulling on it so much.
