Author Topic: Why anyone who buys Beats is a total tool  (Read 4502 times)

So I did some technical data research on Beats and a couple other headphones to prove through concise evidence that paying money for those hogwash cans is just stupid.

Apple Earpods (the newer ones, they actually sound p good)

Frequency range: 5-21,000Hz
Impedance:   23Ω
Sensitivity:   109db

RHA MA450i (my current in-ears)

Frequency range: 16-22,000Hz
Impedance:   16Ω
Sensitivity:   103dB

Beats (most of the data here applies for all of the different "versions")

Frequency range: 20-20,000Hz (internet had to dig way deep just to find this)
Impedance:   Not Listed (lel)
Sensitivity:   110dB

Here's a rundown who doesn't understand the data: the frequency range is from bass to treble, the lowest number being the bassiest bass level, and the highest point being the trebleiest treble. The impedance is essentially the power required to fuel the frequency range. Sensitivity is self explanatory. The apple earpods have greater range and almost the same sensitivity to the Beats. My headphones have a greater range than the Beats. The Beats also need 2x AAA batteries (that's pretty loving lame). An iPhone has an output impedance of 4.5Ω, which cuts about 1/4 of my headphone's range, but tons less than the earpods, so you basically get the full range of the headphones. God knows what the ohms are on the Beats. So basically, headphones that cost 1/4th the price are essentially more well rounded than the Beats. For a brand that really boasts their "bass", they're really lacking.

People buy Beats because they're the in-fashion and they want to look cool. Yes, it makes them a tool but looking cool is still a practical use of them.

Beats need batteries?
what lol

earpods look stupid as stuff though

beats are crap.

there are kids at school who wear beats all day around their neck to look cool.
spoilers: they aren't

Ikr. When I saw someone that didn't have the cover plate on it, and it showed the batteries in it, I was like "You've got to loving be kidding me." Apparently they power the noise-cancelling stuff, but the headsets don't even work without them.

but they're sooo much more comfier than the previous ones

They still hurt after a while, that's why I prefer the in ears because they have soft plastic and I get all the sound. But yeah they are tons better.

The human auditory frequency range goes down to 20hz. Then again, bass rattling your skull feels amazing as stuff.

Either way, every time I see someone with beats I want to snap them, because most of the people who buy them pretty snotty and will wine if they damage their $300 beats or scuff there $200 shoes.

Also, how to Razer Electras compare to beats? I have a razer Electra that I use all the time.

why does it matter, they're in your ears where you can barely see them?

i wear a football helmet with 7.1 surround.

mostly cuz im a whiney little bitch and i dont like things on my ears cuz they hert.

QUIT HATIN ON MAH $WAG!
