Author Topic: Server could not verify your Blockland ID  (Read 2996 times)

Hi,

Here I am again, after almost a year of my last post about this problem.

I have this problem already since 2009
I even bought 2 keys... because of this incredibly annoying error.

It all started when I moved countries, and no, my country does not have some kind of Chinese censor-shipped internet.

Each time when I join a active, not pass-ported server this very message comes up: The server has dropped the connection: Server could not verify your Blockland ID

Let's scrap these things off the list:

-No, I'm not playing on a laptop, recently built a custom pc
-Yes, it says Welcome -yourname- on the bottom of the menu
-Yes, I tried to re-type my key (both keys actually) many times
-Yes, I tried to re-name myself a bunch of times

So this time, we need to go deeper, and I need your help badly.

I will provide you with as much of info and screenshots as I can give you.
All I need is some instructions.

I hope I will be able to fix this after all these years.

Your sincerely Sam.

Even if you don't have satellite internet, this could be your problem: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=245017.msg7042975#msg7042975

All I've learned from that post you send me, is that I am not behind a proxy....

I can play any other game just fine, actually I have not spotted ANY problems with connecting to any other game except Blockland.

Well, I really wanted you to look at this post:
You'll possibly find that with satellite internet the IP being used to connect to the server is different to the IP being used to auth with Blockland - obviously resulting in an auth fail.

What is your ISP?

Well, I really wanted you to look at this post:
What is your ISP?

Host: host-83-1-216-127.tvkstella.pl   IP Address 83.1.216.127

This?

It's polish btw.

http://auth.blockland.us/

does that page load? what does it say?

how about this one? http://66.206.83.240:8000/

http://auth.blockland.us/

does that page load? what does it say?

how about this one? http://66.206.83.240:8000/

The first one says auth.blockland.us on a white page.

The second one says "Hi sam" also on a white page.

riiiiight

okay so that tells me two things
1: auth.blockland.us is the blockland pre-steam authentication method. the fact that you can see that page tells me that you can definitely auth
2: the second one was a little webserver i set up to get your ip, so i could see if the ip presented was indeed 83.1.216.127. it isn't.
since i posted that yesterday, i have received a number of connections which were all logged down
"GET /" is people doing what you should have done, going to
http://66.206.83.240:8000/
anything else was them going to some things that i had been spreading around help forums. judging by how forum time is 1 hour later for me, and you posted about trying at 4 am forum time, lets see what logs came in around then...
Code: [Select]
82.160.95.150 - - [24/Dec/2013 03:24:49] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 -
82.160.95.150 is not 83.1.216.127

both of these are stella IPs, but they are not the same ip. this tells us stella likes to change your ip. the question is, do they change your ip so often it even catches you when you're ingame, or just overnight or something?

can you tell me what ip http://www.whatismyip.com/ tells you? it would also be interesting if it tells you you're behind a proxy.

Here's a screenshot of what came up.

And the whole, Stella changing my IP thing... makes me speechless.
