Author Topic: Does PS4 support RCA cables?  (Read 1265 times)

My mother's friend went and found me a new PS4 when he went to Best Buy to get something for his daughter, I don't know, but he found one. My mom got me one and she said she was happy to make me happy.

The problem of the matter is the none of my television screens (other than my Dad's desktop-computer screen and a little TV in the back of my winterized trailer) support HDMI.

Does PS4 will and ever support RCA cables?

Also merry christmas. my siblings think I am ungrateful for trying to make my present work (that means I am grateful :C)

The PS4 does not support composite or component cables.

Solution: get a TV that was made in the last 7 years.

Excuse me? My Dad got our current TV when I was 8, and that doesn't have an HDMI cord, so go away and help the problem.

If you don't want to buy a new TV then you need to buy something like this to strip the copy protection off the HDMI signal and convert to an brown townog signal: http://www.hdfury.com/shop/

You can buy a new TV for less than the PS4 or that device. There is no other solution.

He gave you the answer you needed, no it does not and you need a new television. Maybe his years are off but hes still right.

hdmi had a very small amount of usage in 2005, 2007 is when it got popular

On the time span issue it was just a general number. HDMI has been on TVs for awhile now. I have a TV made in 2004 with HDMI input.

the ones you chose are super expensive, otis
https://www.google.com/search?q=hdmi+to+rca&tbm=shop
im sure a local radio shack or bestbuy has something that doesnt cost an arm and a leg
although i would look about upgrading, vga is about as old as my mom

Those are not signal converters. There is a reason they are cheap.

I looked at some other solutions too and they will still run into the $100+ range. It would be better to still get a new TV that you can use for other things besides hooking the PS4 up to.

Also VGA and composite are two different types of signal format.
